How to Ensure Completion of Course Videos

Completing course videos is essential to obtain your certificate and ensure you've absorbed all the necessary information. Sometimes, issues like network interruptions or browser problems can hinder proper video completion. To prevent these problems and ensure your progress is accurately recorded, follow these steps:

Step 1: Clear Your Browser Cache

If you encounter difficulties in marking a video as completed, it might be due to browser cache or cookies. Follow these instructions to clear your browser cache:

1. If you're using Windows, simultaneously press "Ctrl + Shift + Delete" on your keyboard. On a Mac, use "Command + Shift + Delete."
2. This action will open a window where you can select what you want to clear. Make sure to select "Cache" or "Cookies and Cache."
3. Click on the "Clear" or "Delete" button to proceed.

Step 2: Reopen the Video

After clearing your browser cache, reopen the video that you want to complete. Ensure you watch it until the very last second to ensure proper recognition of your progress.

Avoid Stopping Prematurely

Remember that clicking the stop button or proceeding to the next section before the video concludes may prevent the video from being marked as completed. To overcome this, follow these guidelines:

1. While watching the video, make sure to watch until the very end, even if the lecturer finishes speaking a few seconds before.
2. Do not prematurely move to the next activity or section; let the video run its full duration.

What to Do If You Move On Too Soon

In cases where you accidentally move to the next activity before the video ends, take these steps to rectify the situation:

1. Reopen the course and access the list of sections and activities on the right side of the screen.
2. Identify the video that lacks a checkmark next to its title, indicating it wasn't marked as completed.
3. Reopen the specific video, and slide the progress bar to the point where you left off.
4. Allow the video to play until the very last second, even if it's just the last few moments.
5. This action ensures that the video activity is tagged as done and your progress is accurately recorded.

By following these steps, you'll be able to successfully complete course videos and ensure your efforts are properly acknowledged, allowing you to obtain your certificate without any hiccups.
