How to watch videos?
Updated over a week ago

Each course is unique and requires different activities to be completed. To obtain a certificate, you must successfully complete all the activities in a course. This guide will describe how to complete a video activity.

Let's begin!

When you enter the course, click on a video, and it will start playing automatically. If the video does not start playing automatically, click the play button to begin.

Watch the video until the very last second, to avoid not getting it marked as done/completed. You can pause the videos, and resume later, it will not affect your progress.

Once you do let the video run on its own, wait a second or two, it will automatically mark it as completed and take you to the next activity.

Troubleshooting: Here are a few useful tips that can help if you are having issues with watching or completing videos.

The video is not marked as completed

Sometimes, a video may not be marked as completed because it was not watched until the very end. This can happen if you click the stop button or move to the next section before the video finishes playing. It's also possible that the lecturer stops speaking a few seconds before the end, and you move on to the next activity without realizing that the video hasn't finished.

If you find yourself in this situation, don't worry! Just reopen the video and skip to the point where you left off. Then, let the remaining time run out, even if it's just the last few seconds. Once the video has finished playing in its entirety, it will be marked as completed.

The video is not playing

  • Refresh - Refreshing the page fixes the problem most of the time. Your browser might be overloaded with temporary and cache data that slows it down. Click Ctrl + F5 on your keyboard, it forces a complete refresh of the web page, clearing the cache and downloading all contents of the page again

  • Check your internet connection - A network overload (especially if you are watching from public networks or the office, where a lot of people are connected to the same network) or a weak internet connection can cause video buffering and not starting to play. Buffering problems can be solved by pausing the video for a few seconds and then resuming.

  • Use Chrome Browser - Chrome browser has a built-in hardware acceleration that can help with watching HD videos.

The video sound is not playing

  • Check that the sound icon on the video is turned on.

  • Check that your device can play sound (try to play some YouTube videos).
