There are two types of quizzes:

  1. Section Quiz - It is usually used as a knowledge check after watching a part of the course.

  2. Final Exam - It is usually used as a comprehensive assessment of the knowledge acquired after watching the entire course.

To start simply click on the "Start" button within the quiz box or click on "Add final exam".

On the next screen, you'll be prompted to enter the quiz name, add a description if desired, and optionally set a passing grade. When you are satisfied with the settings, click on the "Build a quiz" or "Text Import" buttons at the bottom. Please expand the sections below for detailed guidance.

Build a Quiz

After you adjust the quiz settings, click on the "Build a quiz" button at the bottom, then click "Create first question". A form will open where you can add questions and answers one by one.

You can add as many choices as you want for the quiz question. To select the correct answer, simply click on the radio button labeled "It’s a correct answer" next to the appropriate choice.

On the right, you will see a preview of all your questions. You can easily navigate the quiz by clicking on the questions on the right.

You can also add an explanation of the correct and/or incorrect answers by typing into the "Type explanation" field, below the answers.

Add questions 1 by 1 until you are done and make sure to regularly click the Save button, so you don't lose your progress.

If you need to delete a specific question, click on it and click on the delete button. If you wish to delete the entire quiz, click on the "Delete Quiz" button at the top right.

This will allow you to select multiple correct answers for a specific question by checking the box next to each correct answer.

Quizzes without passing grade

This feature involves quizzes that are solely for learning purposes and do not have a passing requirement. Users can engage with these quizzes to enhance their understanding of the course material. After answering questions, users receive feedback on both correct and incorrect answers, providing them with valuable insights and helping them learn from their mistakes.

Quizzes with passing grade

These quizzes typically appear as the last activity in the course and serve as the ultimate assessment of the user's understanding and knowledge of the course material. To complete the quiz, the user must achieve a specific percentage of correct answers, indicating their proficiency in the subject matter.

In quiz settings, select the "Add a passing grade" checkbox and then enter a number in the percentages field. Users will need to achieve that percentage of correct answers to pass the quiz.
